Simone is the vice chairwoman of the PATRIP Foundation. She is heading PATRIP’s West Africa Team and shares responsibility for the management of the day-to-day operations together with her fellow members of the Board of Directors.
Holding a PhD degree in Political Science, Simone has worked intensively on conflict management, peacebuilding and stabilisation in the Sahel and West Africa. Before joining PATRIP Foundation, she has worked as a researcher at Peace Research Institute Frankfurt where she conducted several studies focussing on the nexus of peace and development for German ministries including policy advice to political decision-makers. Simone has more than five years’ experience in designing and implementing post-conflict programs and projects in West and Central Africa on behalf of the UN and German development cooperation with long-term deployments to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mali.
